I agree, it seems to me with that proposal, they ARE spoiling for a fight....they WANT us to strike.telithowitis wrote:I agree, the offer is insulting and blatantly aimed at reducing wages not offering a fair rise in line with inflation/rising living costs for hard working staff.LouBarlow wrote:They need to ballot now not in August. It is clear now that RM aren't going to budge, so it's time to act now not in 3 months time.
Anyone looking from the outside would in my opinion think RM are spoiling for a fight and deliberately trying to provoke an industrial dispute.

strikes in the summer are no good at all. if we wait till august, by the time the ballot gets through and the mandate is put out, and notice given, you are looking at late September and into October,,,, getting on for the Christmas period. which will have them cack their pants.LouBarlow wrote:They need to ballot now not in August. We all know it's coming, just do it!
The way summer & extra lapsing is now isn't that an ideal time to start?
Thanks for the update Dingo.

"deliberately trying to provoke an industrial dispute", yes, but then what, be patient until we're starved back to work on even worse conditions ?telithowitis wrote:I agree, the offer is insulting and blatantly aimed at reducing wages not offering a fair rise in line with inflation/rising living costs for hard working staff.LouBarlow wrote:They need to ballot now not in August. Fair enough if that is the case but it doesn't say that here.Destiny wrote:Yeah, but get the hourly wage increase.ted_e_bear wrote:That's roughly what I thought but perhaps I wasn't as polite !!wacko74 wrote:Part timers who already ''enjoy'' shorter hours would see no reduction to their working week.

we just have to hold our nerve and say no and then the shareholders will panic and directors will want to sort it out before next AGM and protect their shares holding.

To all postmen and women. It's simple . Start on time, have a break in the office, then finish on time.work your hours. Oh yes use your trolleys. If you can lapse fair enough if you can't tell them and stick to it.we are doing this in our office now,and guess wot mail is being left in and the manager's are struggling to get the mail and packets delivered.the top brass have no idea.keep cool everyone follow this principle and don't take the Mick . The job will become good again give the pressure back to the manager's .

Most of us have been doing this for years and yet we are still facing the same issues in regard pay, sickness, pensions etc. Just doing the job properly isn't enough any more.robsbelly wrote:To all postmen and women. Much better plan than an all out strike IMHO.worktotime wrote:robsbelly wrote:To all postmen and women. It's simple . Start on time, have a break in the office, then finish on time.work your hours. to right, if the runners and the clowns that work for nowt cant see what this company thinks of its staff now theres no hope or they have no brains
its time to start doing the job RIGHT and show this company the true light of the job and what gets swepted under the carpet everyday and all the crap ideas they have come up with.
