Royal Mail's Pay Offer

Work harder, work faster, work longer and be flexible with our start times and they will "offer" us a worsening of sick pay, conditions and a bribe.

Thats not an offer, thats an insult.

i feel so sorry for you guys, you will not hold onto the job as it is, the union membership (fulltime especially) is dwindling & the job will become unbearable.

In the second year providing the triad are completed in 2017/18 and a national WIPGH ( Weighted Items Per Gross Hours ) figure of 3% is achieved for the period of 2017/18 the Royal Mail will offer half of that i.e. 1.5%

For the third the pay offer will be half of the improvement made nationally on Weighted Items per gross hour.
So any pay increase and my ability to pay my bills would be directly reliant on how well our managers can implement change and improve efficiency?

If I took that bet to Ladbrokes they would let me make up my own odds, I'm going to have to politely refuse. Even without the strings it's shite.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

I agree..10 years ago in my office of about 90 staff you could count on your fingers the staff who weren't in the union.

Now its about half the office..a lot of the senior full timers have now retired and been replaced by part timers who don't seem to have any interest in joining the union.

A sign of the times but its a sad state of affairs.. :cry

I agree, the offer is insulting and blatantly aimed at reducing wages not offering a fair rise in line with inflation/rising living costs for hard working staff.
Anyone looking from the outside would in my opinion think RM are spoiling for a fight and deliberately trying to provoke an industrial dispute.
