What competition! What competitor has a USO? Who else delivers the bloody DSA? How the f**k can we "win" back business with the shackles of postcomm? Least of all us posties plodding the streets. Should we hold up a company on our round that we know uses DSA with primed elastic bands. "Give RM its contract back, it`ll cost you a bundle but if you dont i`ll flick!!"

Yes, they keep on about it like a Victorian father trying to frighten his child into behaving by telling him about the bogey man.Edward Hunter wrote:What competition! What competitor has a USO? The Industrial Workers of the World. The union whose members never scab!

I have to be honest, I find the whole thing bloody confusing.Edward Hunter wrote:What competition! What competitor has a USO? Who else delivers the bloody DSA? Don't we actually make a fairly healthy profit from DSA ?
Doesn't the USO actually protect us as well ? We still have a huge share of the market, and it's safe to say we are still a monopoly, with an infrastructure, that nobody will come close to for many years.
Just playing devils advocate here of course, and would love to see a factual and reasoned debate on this.

I seem to RUN the site more than i USE it nowadays because of how popular it's got, which is a pisser in someways as i can't post as much.
You're quite welcome to look over my posts and see what i'm all about. :lfo :cfo
Others:
As for this site becoming s**t or freedom of speech being stifiled,do me a favour, this is the ONLY Postie site on the net (and it's a big place!!)that you can get away with what a lot of you do.
Every time i make an announcment like this, this bollox crops up.
The situation that is going on now has happened before and will happen again,no ones happy with it but the s**t is here to stay.
This recent situation is isolated to an area, can't go into details as obviously stuff is going on.But certain little bits and bobs are happening elsewhere, this thread is just a heads up to warn people on here.
Spoken to a few people today, yes i'm even having phone conversations with peeps to sort stuff out!!
What is going on is seriously petty,it's even child like ffs. This is RM management at it's best.
I'm releasing the thread now as there are more than enough warnings about the place, and hopefuly the s**t going on should sort it's self out after the bits i got hold of today.
It's not fair,it's very petty, they are very child like, they are even doing it from their own homes as the site is blocked from RM comps, but it's here to stay.
So just be careful guys.
Cheers

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

QUIZ
Any employer that suspends people for using an internet forum to express their own personal opinons is _ _ _ _
fill in the blanks.
1st prize = 1.67p x6
2nd prize = 2.5% of £175
3rd prize = 6.9% over 2 years
ps.
I think its fair to say that emotions have been running high these past few months so maybe its time for everyone to take a step back to reflect.
pps.

My identity.
Although I haven't posted my physical address, phone number or email address. I have recently put enough detail in, so that anyone who works with me can easily find me if they want.
I know that, that puts me at risk of disciplinary action, and I would like to thank Postman for the "heads up". But the fact of the matter is: this situation is so serious, that I want to stand up and be counted. If that leads to disciplinary action, then bring it on! Besides, I've voiced exactly the same opinions at work, as I have here, so it would be pointless to hide my identity anyway.
