Hello forum!
Newbie here, Postman with Driving. already confused...

First day, induction yesterday, 9am. All good.
Second day, reported as instructed per my job offer to my delivery office for 10am start. Was told the following:
1. You're late! you should have been here for 9am. All the coaches are out now.
2. You may not be working out of this delivery office at all. You probably won't be driving.

good start.

Yup, welcome to the mad house here AND where you work! :Very Happy
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

10am start was what I was told originally, now it's gonna be 9am. S'ok.
I was originally 25 hrs P/T, told by union rep it'll be 30 from week after next.
Am currently enjoying it heaps, loosening up nicely.

Yeah it was that time when I started too ! But it's the wrong time everyone would be long gone on their round by then. I started on a 24 hour contract but I actually worked 6 hrs OT (30hrs) & after 6 months I was offered a 30 hrs contract. It's great that you are loving it.
