Runners - 10k half or Full Marathon?

Post by TrueBlueTerrier »

A very old ARMY trick for CFTs and route marches consisted of 1 Mars Bar, and 1 small bottle of flat coke - both for the same reason as the Jelly Babies. With the coke it should be the full original stuff as the caffeine in it may help kick start the fat-burning process.

Christ, how can anyone train for a full marathon being a postie? The job pushes my physical boundaries as it is. Going up and down 300 flights of stairs a day does me in completely. You guys must be superfit.

Well managed to finish the Manchester Marathon yesterday, and thoroughly recommend the experience, the people of Manchester were brilliant.
Thanks for the tips/advice etc, used the Jelly baby method for fuel!
Clocked 3:53 and raised over £250 for Air Ambulance.
