English Hertitage. End of Corporate Membership

It was on the tv boards in our office that it was ending.

It is not a spoof site and it is closing or actually has closed today. It is on my personal Royal Mail intranet site. It was also confirmed by phone to me this morning (08:00 31/3/17) by the head of corporates English Heritage

It is not fake, it was on my personal Royal Mail intranet site at work last night. Plus confirmed by phone with E Heritage.

This is the English Heritage page on Corporate Membership and there is no mention of it ending, in fact they are open for new members:

I SPOKE to the head of corporate at English Heritage this morning and she confirmed to me personally they are closing corp membership. They are doing it on a phased basis when agreements end. Royal Mail's ended today. Others will follow. EH intend to focus on individual and family memberships. It is also on MY PERSONAL Royal Mail Intranet DESKTOP account and according to others on their screens at work. Sorry you are wrong. Ring this number and they will confirm it to you as they did to me: contact Emily Travis, Corporate Development Officer.

Well it's true then.

What a joke of an organisation English Heritage is when they can't update their own website and are STILL seeking new members for a scheme they are discontinuing.

Stuff them, I'm National Trust anyway.

OK I accept the scheme is ending. RM are seeking alternatives - perhaps a Butlins day pass??

The good news is you can join the National Trust and see glorious gardens, landscapes and country estates and houses right across the nation rather than a few ruins on offer in England from English Heritage.

EWent to one yesterday (2nd April) they were happy to me in because a) Royal Mail was still on their till b) they were busy, and c) I was in a big awkward chaotic group.
Was told not to expect it anywhere else and definitely don't say XXX Castle let me get away with it

I didn't think many of us were old enough to be National Trust members.

I'm in my twenties and a national trust member! There's far too many beautiful places to visit in this country not to be a member!
