Any details how this was agreed/enforced eastie?eastie wrote:Everyone who comes back before their finish time has to do D2D's for all the other rounds before they can go home .
The early starter/runners/ ghost overtimers were going ballistic.
Wonder if they will come in early tomorrow.
This was bought in by the union, not before time and should stop more hours being taken out the delivery office

So the runners have to sit a lay-by for and hour before them come back to the office whilst the others prep tomorrow's D2D for them so the runners can finish even earlier.
Sounds like a fair plan ... not.

Maybe then they wont run round and finish at the proper finish time like all the rest that will then stop any more hours being taken out of the office. Its the runners / early starters that caused the lapsing problem in the 1st placeSpedley wrote:So the runners have to sit a lay-by for and hour before them come back to the office whilst the others prep tomorrow's D2D for them so the runners can finish even earlier.

Managers could look on the PDA tracking to see where then the next day park up nearby and catch them red handedSpedley wrote:So the runners have to sit a lay-by for and hour before them come back to the office whilst the others prep tomorrow's D2D for them so the runners can finish even earlier.

Sounds like you don't really get it. If they finish even earlier tomorrow they'll be prepping for the following day. And the runners I know won't sit in a lay by they'd rather run faster to get the d2d done even earlier to get away early. So more fool them.Spedley wrote:So the runners have to sit a lay-by for and hour before them come back to the office whilst the others prep tomorrow's D2D for them so the runners can finish even earlier.

Doubt it, the union won't agree to snooping tools like that being used for performance issues.citypostie wrote:And anyone who likes to sit in the van between loops then claims because they go over or cuts off will be in big trouble

Its actually part of the 2010 Agreement, specifically the "Work all Paid hours" section, and putting in, or prepping D2Ds would be considered a reasonable request. Doubt a rep could enter a disagreement on it, all they could do was make sure members were aware and that the application was done in a fair and consistent manner, and that any problems or issues are raised at the appropriate meetings,.Destiny wrote:Any details how this was agreed/enforced eastie?eastie wrote:Everyone who comes back before their finish time has to do D2D's for all the other rounds before they can go home .

The Union may not agree to it but you can guarantee all the data the pda records is being studied very carefully at local level and nationally. Some will have nothing to hide but others are going to be in for a shocknorm wrote:Doubt it, the union won't agree to snooping tools like that being used for performance issues.citypostie wrote:And anyone who likes to sit in the van between loops then claims because they go over or cuts off will be in big trouble

Just remember that most PDA data is of people carrying a bag and not using trolleys / agreed methods for delivery

If you use trolleys it can add an hour at least on your walk. I don't use them unless mad with packets at Xmas.TheTrolleyMan wrote:Just remember that most PDA data is of people carrying a bag and not using trolleys / agreed methods for delivery

Well said . Also using trolleys protects jobs , people carrying bags needs to be a thing of the past . Use your trolley and either work your hours or claim excess

No fit the packets and parcels in the bag, any oversize gets delivered in the van. Don't get me wrong I do not run round but if it's quicker which carrying the bag is I do not see the problem.worktotime wrote:if it adds an hour on then so be it claim o/t for it or take it backGazza47 wrote:If you use trolleys it can add an hour at least on your walk.
