Delivery of competitors mail

Post by wabbithunta »

I was thinking about boycotting the competitions mail... ie not to deliver it, now wouldn't that be a nice thing to do? Trouble is RM would do me for 'failure to deliver' etc. As has already been said I cant see TNT DHL etc putting people out on walks to deliver mail. They're all quite happy to let us do it for them while they deliver parcels etc. Money for old rope!!

Now a good idea would be to put all their mail through a maching that'll frank the competitions mail with 'Delivered by Royal Mail' right across the top of the letters etc.... That should at least make people realise who actually does quite literally all of the deliveries of mail on a daliy basis.

How tempted was I to put the fecking boot into it, kick it down the street and back, drive my van over a couple of times them gently place back on the door step from whence it was left!!!!
happens all the time,im always coming across door stepped parcels on my delivery from the likes of tnt etc...and these are proper parcels ffs,if we done that we would be in the s**t...

just goes to show the competition is that shite,if only we had 2 competant leaders we wouldnt be in this mess where the likes of tnt are competition.

Im always getting asked by TNT drivers for directions and of course I oblige... usually by sending in the opposite direction. :dance

One thing that occurred to me though. If the competition does by some miracle get itself in a position to deliver the final mile on a national level. Could this not be advantageous to the current RM workerforce? Rival companies would need delivery staff and the amount of postmen required in the country would double, as all routes would be walked over twice. RM would have competition to hire staff and would be less able to trample on us, as workers could leave and go join a rival? As it stands at the moment if you wanna be a postman, you have to become a Royal mail worker as there are no other options. Just a thought :speak to the hand

Not saying I want to work for another company particularly [although the urge is getting stronger] but it would be nice to have a bit of a barganing tool :Applause

The competition would only pay minimum wage and use immigrants who have just arrived and can string a sentence of English together....well actually that bit is not mandatory.

Once they have been here for 6 months they will know what a bunch of tossers the competition are and leave to make way for the next immigrants just arrived poor hungry and desperate.
