Fraudulent letters have conned some victims out of more than £100,000
But new terms and conditions will help stop scams being delivered in bulk
Postmen will be able to open and refuse to deliver suspicious scam letters
Conmen employ firms abroad to print millions of copies of fraudulent letters

There will be one furious couple on my round. They are totally addicted and despite special delivery warnings from the Canadian .gov, totally believe in the legitimacy of this stuff.

Can't see it working, first postman to do so will probably get charged with wilful delay or interfering with the mail or some similar charge

Typical Mail headline, what they probably mean is that it can be identified at distribution centres before it gets down to delivery/street level - it's in the Feb RM propaganda
rag on page 3 (steady......!!).

At DO's aren't we supposed to report suspect scam mail to managers but we all know they just say 'deliver it' as it would mean them having to do something if they had to report it.

I can pretty much guarantee that would be the case! No way would I be opening a "scam" letter.

I'm sure that would be an easy way for someone who didn't like you for whatever reason, to see you opening a scam letter, then run to management to clipe saying they saw you tampering with mail...
