everyone needs to take care, just take the advice of postman and drop the names. :hmmmm The managers who are monitoring this site are the type who hide behind their positions and will take any route to the top and if that means taking a lowly paid postie down the conduct code for expressing their opinion, so be it. :no no That is what management is all about, to rise to the top you have to care only about yourself, you mask your insecurities from your masters by being tougher and harder on those you are supposed to lead. :no no That is why respect for managers has dwindled to almost nothing. When the job cuts come managers become just like the rest of us except they have already sold their self respect and expecting support from those they served to find that there is no one there to help them.
Remember keep the faith and don't give them the evidence or the chance to turn you over. :hmmmm

Just to let everyone know - unless RM have your IP address and access to the telecom network then they cannot know for sure who you are (and if they are getting that information then someone is breaking the DPA), and of course you can always change your IP. Maybe some of our union dues could go on taking RM to court over the suspensions.

How about this scenario then. I replied to a post on another thread on Friday. Someone who replied to my post then sent me a PM with my own name and a question mark. I just replied by asking " Who are you". That night at work , my line manager asked me if I use this site as ***** ***** ( manager's name) asked him to find out. At no time have I told anyone my username and the post mentioned above was only my 4th on here. Ok , so a manager has sussed out who I am. Not only that , he has told other managers on my shift. Through asking my line manager , I now know that he also lurks on here , and so does one of our acting managers. So , I now feel that every time I come on here , there are at least 3 managers possibly checking to see if I post or what I post. If I ever said something they don't like , in these circumstances wouldn't that be entrapment ? Even the police don't get away with that one !

Just look at what the filth say about trade unions, why do they target trade unionists for special treatment in countries that have right wing fascist governments. Read a book instead of the right wing press. ps did you notice the right wing press were all with us during the IA, NOT!

Ask POSTMAN to delete your account then wait for a little while and join again but change some of you details and if your manager asks then just deny everything and make him PROVE it.

It's a bosses party alright. It's run by a landowner in North Wales. He's hardly likely to be on the side of the workers.

the papers could be "accidentally " tipped off by "friends/family " of staff about these suspensions & paranoid monitoring . That'll give RM a problem.
I'd love to hear the RM official statement that'd get parroted out .

RM couldn't investigate a £1 coin down a sofa , it's run like some Banana Republic , sorry that's insulting to tin pot despots & banana republics .

As for Nick Griffin , he lives near Welshpool, as per usual the guy's a total fantastist . He's been around the block a bit politically , just a clever shameless opportunist . The blogs are hilarious , like the Telegraph/Mail on LSD .The BNP real ale festival blog was something else .

Here is what the great almighty Oracle that is Hell Mails very own Steve Lawson thinks:

This fellow seems to think he is Josef Goebbels - Royal Mails very own Minister for Propoganda

In the wake of the CWU's announcement that it has agreed the terms of Royal Mail's deal on pay and modernisation plans, we're already hearing cries of 'sold down the river' by some postal workers.

What is painfully obvious is that not only do some not actually know the meaning of the phrase, they clearly haven't grasped what has to be done. This is no longer a postal service safely cushioned from the ravages of the world and no union, no matter how well intentioned, can turn back the clock. Far from the CWU settling easily, it went as far as it could within the restrictions imposed by the very real commercial pressure Royal Mail is now faced with.

"The agreement reflects the best possible negotiated settlement, taking into account the real challenges facing CWU members and the company." - thats what the CWU say, and its a reality check for a workforce faced with massive change as the business fights for its life. Most analysts predict that Royal Mail won't survive unless the whole workforce knuckles down to the business of providing a reliable and efficient mail service - and in spite of the wolves snapping at its most lucrative business.

Hellmail's editor Steve Lawson summed up the situation rather well on a postal forum last night:

"I often hear some say they could run the business better, but the reality is, they couldn't. Royal Mail is a very complex organisation and although obvious things that crop up in delivery offices may be easily sorted, the bigger things are not."

"Royal Mail is in a very grave position indeed if things don't change and quickly. I'm setting the pension arrangements aside here because whilst they're very important, on their own, they're not an issue that should pull Royal Mail to a crawl again and potentially take the livelihoods of thousands of good posties with it as the company sinks into the blackness. Few of us are under any delusions as to how hard it is, and is going to be, for Royal Mail to retain and gain new business, but even Royal Mail bosses recognise the importance of its team in projecting the right image and continuing to provide the best service it can under very difficult circumstances."

"Over the last year the Hellmail team has been staggered at the wealth of talent and proliferation of brilliant ideas from thousands of posties right across the UK. I do hope that the image of Royal Mail is not so tarnished by all the industrial action that it damages the pride that most of the public have in their own posties. That alone plays a big part in the company's ability to generate new business and as we've always said, collectively, Royal Mail is one heck of a formidable team. If this is the deal and its agreed by all, we really see no reason why you can't make mincemeat of your competitors."

"At the end of the day, if you want to secure your jobs and teach your rivals a thing or two, I really can't think of any group of people more capable of doing that. Do have pride in what you do and turn your attention to fighting off the competition."

Indeed. The hard fact is that the CWU simply cannot continue to fight a losing battle and credit where credit is due, Dave Ward and Billy Hayes have done as much as they could. To continue with industrial action will simply play into the hands of Royal Mail's competitors. If there was ever a time that postal workers needed to show the competition what its made of - this is it.

I know exactly what 'sold down the river' means. I don't need any lessons on the history of North America from someone who runs a site which thought German and British troops played football against each other on a Christmas Day during the Second World War. What a set of clowns!
