Endangering a protected species?
It's an interesting idea but catching a bat is not easy, I think they're nocturnal and us posties don't really do post 9 pm watershed.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

But that position is superseded by the statutory requirement for at least a 20-minute break somewhere in the middle of the working day if you are expected to work for 6 hours or more.
Which is why part time postal workers most of whom are on less then 30 hours a week can split their meal relief. To the posters on here saying you should take all your meal relief yes you should but peoples lives and circumstances don't fit the royalmail model and some offices don't even have a place to eat or any food or catering facility's so it is not just a one fits all solution.

Tell a manager you will be bringing the HCT on a 15 minute walk back to the office to take your 30 minute uninterrupted break and watch how quick they let you book it as overtime in the future.
