Royal Mail understands how hard it is for many companies and households in the current economic environment. For that reason, we have considered any pricing changes very carefully and have sought to minimise any impact on our customers.

From 27 March, the price of a First Class stamp will increase by 1p to 65p and the price of a Second Class stamp will increase by 1p to 56p. These increases are necessary to help ensure the sustainability of the Universal Postal Service. In addition, the price of a Large Letter First Class stamp will rise by 2p to 98p; a Large Letter Second Class stamp will rise by 1p to 76p.

Prices are among the best value in Europe

Royal Mail’s stamp prices are amongst the best value in Europe when compared to our counterparts.1The European average for First Class letters (0-100g) is 87p. The UK First Class stamp price remains below this. The European average for Second Class letters (0-100g) is 67p. The UK Second Class stamp price remains below this. The UK also has the highest quality of service specification of any major European country2.

What pay rise only MOYA and her minnons our pension is for the chop so they can live the high life don't think she will pay for the elderly who paid for her pension by the reduction in their own pensions.
