RM's latest crap!!!

Post by saru »

I've just received an email from Star Panels....renamed Star People. What a load of bollox.

Star People is our Forum, where we can have our say, talk to each other and share ideas! Many of us have suggested via Star panels, Have Your Say, Ask Alan and Adam that having our own forum would be a good idea. So here it is!

We've created our own chat room to discuss any issues we want. It's our site, we dictate the topics of discussion, be that business or social. The site is being independently hosted by an external agency (TNS) and although RMG are footing the bill, our site is not being censored by the Business - so we can say what we like without worrying about Big Brother watching us! WE decide what we want to talk about, or what we want to achieve through this site. That said, any brilliant ideas will be fed back to the Royal Mail Group by TNS so the Business can still benefit from our pearls of wisdom.

Some of you have said that we should include Star panels as part of Star People, so that's what we've done. As a member of Star panels, we get to take part in regular surveys (that will only take 5-10 minutes max - and that's a promise!) to make sure our opinions are heard on loads of different topics, from specific product queries to potential new product launches to more social issues, like 'what makes us happy in our job' (or what doesn't!) And you can always catch up and find out what we thought about something by going to our News page and look up results.

If you've got an opinion on Star People or any ideas on how to improve the site -
let TNS know at - Star-People@tns-online.com

Dontchya just love that bit about Big Brother isn't watching!!! Do you believe it???

who TNS are

Post by F0zziebear »

TNS are a research company, who have carried out research for RMG for a number of years.

TNS will monitor the chatrooms and look for trends, feedback etc... Some monkey will have to do this and compile a report. One assumes this is part of their spend and a way of maintaing their lucrative contract.

It's difficult to think RM won't be monitoring the forum itself, and one would assume it will get abused and probably closed down under the current circumstances, but I'm happy to be proved wrong.

Only time will tell

there isn't anything there for RM unless I'm doing something wrong
sounds like some corporate cop-out , also if RM obviously don't like this site at all ; what's the problem with SuperScab & co's site . Also daft question why so much money wasted on these things ?, sorry RM have to justify non jobs but hound the plebs out of their own .

Don't think they'd like this one !, write a report on what you read !

Before you can become a Star People member, we need to ask you some questions. These questions should not take longer than 5 minutes to complete. We do this for a number of reasons:

* We need your contact details so that we can send you the surveys (you will be asked to supply an email address)
* We need to make sure that members are genuine employees or agents of Royal Mail Group (you will be asked to supply part of your pay code, contract number or your branch FAD code). If you do not have this information to hand please come back to register when you have.
* It ensures that you only get the questions that are applicable to you in your particular role
* It allows us to contact particular groups of employees or agents about relevant subjects (for example, we might want some quick feedback from subpostmasters)

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
