Good luck.

This starts to sound like a sketch from some HR Training Film, "Tell us what you consider are your strong points...... Now tell us what you consider are your weak points" Don't you just hate that HR Bullshit? :cuppa

Not bad for doing nothing.
It's a darn sight less than the guys on cushy rounds, finishing an hr early every day, cost royal mail. They're costing royal mail £50 a week.

work place coach interview

Post by Mezza »

I had a WPC interview about 12 months ago.

It is all the typical HR type questions:
Give us an example of when you've messed up and what you did about it.
What do you consider to be your weak points?
What are your strong points?
What would you do in this type of scenario?

There were 5 of us interviewed and i was by far the most qualified - having been in RM for over 12 years at the time and having done every job in my office and having managerial experience.

i was told at interview that the decision for who would get the role was based soley on the answers you give at the interview and the final decision made by the interviewer.

Another candidate got the position - he had been with RM 2 years but knew the interviewer really well from a previous office.
Discovered not long after the result of the interview that my DOM (who i was having an ongoing battle through the grievance process) had put his oar in regarding my application.
The job spec for the WPC changed not long after that and i'm glad in hindsight i never got it.
Although i have had to pull up the bloke that did get the job on numerous occassions for not doing the job correctly.
Good luck with your interview.
