Tracking devices in vans

In our office all the vans are now having tracking devices fitted, i was wondering can they pin point where you are every second of every day? Sounds like big brother to me!

THEY SAY THEY CAN WATCH YOU WHERE AND WHEN YOU STOP AND FOR HOW LONG.
WE HAVE BEEN GOING ON ABOUT DOING THE JOB PROPELEY THAN WHAT THE PROBLEM..
