Police intercept suspected drugs package at Post Office

POLICE have intercepted a suspicious package suspected of containing drugs at the Post Office.

Officers have since seized the parcel which was discovered yesterday, Wednesday, after workers raised the alarm.

Investigations are now ongoing to trace the sender and recipient.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "Thanks to the sterling work of the Post Office we now have the address of the intended recipient and also the sender.

"We will be liaising with other forces and building an intel picture.


"The Post Office regularly notify us of such discoveries."
