Staff at the Royal Mail sorting office in Abergavenny discovered the card and called the police
A Christmas card full of cannabis was intercepted at a post office after staff thought they could smell something out of the ordinary.
Officers were called to the Royal Mail sorting office in Abergavenny after intercepting a letter believed to contained cannabis.
The card portrayed Father Christmas and his reindeer with the caption 'Merry Christmas'.
Police visited the address on the envelope of the card and, following inquiries, no further action was taken against the intended recipient.
Gwent Police said the address had been flagged up with the Royal Mail intelligence unit.
