you go to your manager before the end of February and ask him for a form to buy extra annual leave.

fill it in, Job Done.

you will start paying in April ( week 1 of pay year ) and you can choose your extra week(s) from the DOM.

Good luck picking any bought holiday because if it's like our DO there isn't enough leave slots to pick your entitlement never mind any bought leave.

I pay for Annual Leave and haven't had a problem booking the extra weeks. It's well worth doing as it's only a few quid per week!

Thanks.

It varies according to service.
Someone with 15+ years only has to buy 4 days to get the full 30 days but if you have less than five years service you need to buy 7.5 days.
If people don't tell you how long their service is then go for the most expensive option, that way when they sign up and pay less it's a bonus for them

But not even that works because a 20 hour postie will pay less in real terms, but the same in percentage, than a 24 hour one.

Rang HR today to check the boss had set up my POAL I've requested. They said it wasn't showing up, but might not show up until after the deadline. Does anyone know it that's correct or does it mean it definitely hasn't been done? She didn't seem to be very sure about it. Last thing I want is to get past the deadline then find it's not been done.
