Full pay after 12 weeks? (AWR qualification)
Is that must be 12 continuous weeks without any week gap? I have got 14 weeks paid payslips but got three weeks gap in between. The joining letter says there should not be more than five weeks gap but angard payroll saying I have not finished 12 weeks as there were 3 weeks gap.

It doesn't have to be continuous and a three week break shouldn't have any effect. Get back onto payroll and who ever you deal with for shifts and if they still go down the '3 weeks argument' you have a letter that states differently. The government disagrees about 3 weeks as well.

The important line quite clearly states "The qualifying period will pause for sick leave or breaks. Don’t count the days when you take a break of 6 weeks or less"

Basically you will gain AWR status on your 13th payslip. Ensure you don't have a 6 weeks consecutive gap otherwise this will reset your AWR, hence you'll have to start from zero. However, a paid holiday will pause the break i.e. if you worked 5 weeks and take a paid 1 week break then the clock will stop and continue after the holiday terminates.tabact wrote:It doesn't have to be continuous and a three week break shouldn't have any effect. Your situation doesn't make sense - you got 14 payslips already, so you should be AWR qualified. When you had a break I assume this wasn't paid so you wouldn't have received a pay slip for that week. Clearly you done 12+ weeks so should be AWR qualified, unless you haven't declared information?
