So if the vote is yes, which it could well be (as well as a no!! ) then surely you should accept that vote? To walk out, while the majority of the members have voted yes seems undemocratic to me. I will support whatever vote comes through, will all those who keep on saying no do the same?

RM & the CWU must think we're all thick. This is just the original agreement re-worded.

If it took the CWU over a week to alter a few words & think it's going to sound better then they are taking us for fools.

Unfortunately, you have a good point. If the majority do vote yes, then we will have no choice but to accept it. However, it is highly unlikley that, that will happen. Unless of course, there are voting irregularities. If that does happen, then I am sure that someone will find out, and then the appropriate action would be taken.

However, I think it incredibly unlikley that they would try anything like that, because it would trigger a mass walkout, Court Cases, terrible PR, etc., etc..

So all we can do, is get people to read it thoroughly (as I have done), and consider the implications before voting, instead of letting Crozier and Leighton starve you into submission.

Just in case it isn't obvious. I've voted NO here, and will do the same when balloted.

the vote is against who in their right mind would vote yes for this. Once they get all this in you will be working just short of 10 hours every day up to your 48hrs max.
In a few weeks they will be wanting to change your contract to contract pay(contracted hours) as for now you are getting pay by the hour.

God, I want to see an end to this dispute. My finances are stretched to the limit (not as bad as our friends in Liverpool though). I can't afford to lose any more. This has gone on long enough and RM are laughing at us. It won't take them much longer to clear the back log and we're right back where we started from. In my opinion the Union leadership have let us down. I don't think we can win, BUT having said all the above I'm still going to vote against the agreement. I didn't lose wages,stand on the picket line and watch as RM went ahead and imposed un-agreed changes on me, to just give in as the Union did.
I feel sorry for the local reps who have been brilliant through this (well, mine has). This agreement goes against everything he stands for. How is he going to be able to follow the Union line and convince people to vote yes? In my office we have a very strong rep, I'd like to know how he is meant to carry on now!

Rep's all over the country have put a lot of time! and effort!! into getting the CWU

the overwhelming support it has had over this dispute.

I feel the leaders of this union have not only let their members down.

But most of all they have let themselves down.

We look to them for leadership? but judging by the responce on this forum

the EC appear to have become totally detatched from the grass roots of this dispute.
