We'll probably never have the evidence, but I see government involvement here. Gordon Brown is in a political mess and the last thing he could do with is us on strike at Xmas. Lazyton & Crazier told to water it down a bit or your out because we can't damage paymaster Gordon. Hayes & Ward told more action will damage the Labour government and their possible political futures. Between you, cook up a deal and all 4 of you sell it. Or else.

We have to reject this deal and the vermin responsible for it for the good of a public service and ourselves.

Well I am off to Boots tommorow to get supplies of KY jelly. The Saturday attedance bemuses me, we did an 8 hour Sat before when we started early but how do you go back to original Sat attendance when all the van times have been changed, all it means for my office is a later f***ing finish on a Sat.
I want my early starts back, and I want my reasonable finish on a Saturday back. f**k any form of flexible working, f**k doing more in the summer because some c*** in Old street says we do not work so hard then. I hump f***ing 1.6 kg magazines out one day therefore I am entitled to rub me hands together when the following day I a'int got none and can move a bit faster because I have not got that weight accross me back. Thats flexible working.
All the s**t we have in the new year and at Autumn, dam right I look forward to the summer carrying a bit less weight across me back. And as for taking more work out because I get back earlier than some skiving c*** you can go and f**k yourself. :evil/mad

Of course they got involved the TUC as well; god knows why the union ran away though, what a waste of our time, our dedication and our passion. I'm a rep and with 106 staff (1 scab) I'm not going to sell this s**t. But in all honesty I don't see how we win.

I don't mind saying this but I cried when I read this. I feel like I've lied to the lads, that I've led them to this disaster. All those hours on the picket lines freezing to death. Some of our lads got no pay one week because it fell wrong for them. For what? For f**k all.

They've done for us. Ward, Brown, Hutton and the TUC. I'll stay in the cwu and fight them to standstill on this flexibilty.
but I will dedicate the next 12 months of my live to getting us all out of the political fund.

The only good thing is with all the local agreements the scab offices will get crucified, what are they gonna do? Walk out

how does it go? what goes around..

Just glanced through it and some of the points they do say its been watered down, decoupling of pensions - is good, but looks like we will give up the five years and pay more so just a swing on words getting it out of the pay deal and not really dealing with the issues. on pay - stinks still leaves a bitter taste in the mouth these managers getting a huge fat bonus - wheres ours? we have to meet the changes before anything is paid as far as I can see. which is a carrot and string approach, saying in layman's terms that job and knock is gone but 318's stand but we will be required to be flexible within the workplace - its all arse back wards saying one thing then contradicting itself. Oh well Ill check it over another time - too tired at the moment.

The trouble with all this is 318's in our office are based on substantive job ie walk/driver/phg/dom support.Management have and will always have the stoolies ie postmen/postwomen who want to be manager's and sell their fellow worker's term's and condition's down the line, You proberbly know them they say thing like "his walk only take's 2 hour going slow" and so gaffa will give them 1.5-2 hour's of some other duty.!

Ok i've read it,and will hold back on any more comments because of the swear filter!!
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Anyone who accepts this deal must be around the twist or loopy!!

How would it go in TV's Only Fools and Horses

'Trigger will you accept the offer?'

Trigger: 'No.............................but I'm thinking about it!'
