AOD are normally discounted from the attendance procedure unless RM feel that the root cause of the accident was attributed to your negligence. Assuming that a risk assessment and a report has been completed you will need to bring this matter to the attention of your union rep.

Non blameworthy? Grievance, the attendance procedure hasn't been followed correctly.

The grievance would be against the manager who issued the stage.

The basis would be that they have failed to take into account the AOD S/L, which should have been discounted.

This is assuming it was non-blameworthy. Though more often than not staff do get blame.

You should have seen a copy of the S/L incidents in relation to this stage, and there is the possibility that the manager failed to record the reason for S/L correctly.....
Sometimes, I wish I wasn't a Rep.
