You are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine. If you read my post you will see that I don't accept the deal but I do accept the circumstances. If you have difficulty reading more than a sinlge line at a time I'll post each line individually. Those like you have a knee jerk reaction because you fail to see the consequences. If you think a No vote is a win situation go ahead - you can always say "I voted No".

Its a vote of no for me and a vote of no confidence in the slime who agreed to this p*sstake of a deal.
We've shown we're willing to fight but our leaders havent got a fight in 'em
I see no difference in our outcome as to whether there was a ballot or not. We had a ballot and superb support for our action and the leadership ignored that.

Hm food for thought indeed, much of a muchness really aint it....a little give on one side..a lot of take from the other..it's down to personal preference really as to wether you got movement in your chosen area of importance.(pensions,flexibility,etc) my thoughts go out to offices that have No/weak Reps..the dums at those offices must be rubbing thier hands together and foaming at the mouth.Take everything on board and weigh up all your local pro's and cons before jumping in with the masses and start screaming yes or no..
Did you like the bit about the £175 lump sum that is from ESOS (Employee Share Of Savings). Remember the 92p we got earlier in the year, that was from 'efficiency' savings. Where do you think the £175 is from? From what was owed to us from the efficiency savings. Remember Billy Hayes wanted the financial figures for the efficiency savings as he said he believed RM's figures were wrong, then during the talks RM 'found' the £23million and offered it to us, money already due to us. SHAFTED
The pay offer is not improved, despite what some are saying. 5.4% (not backdated!) this year and then a paltry 1.9% next year (well below inflation which is currently running at around 4%) is not a good offer - it ties the union members to accepting below inflation pay for the 2008-2009 period. And the £175 is an insult - talk about waving a bribe in front of your face to try and buy you off!
Personally I can't agree that a person who doesn't join a union in a workplace should be termed a scab. Every has the legal right not to join a union and closed-shops will never return. I actually happen to believe that it is a human right to be able to make the choice of whether to join a union or not.
And Btw I have known many non-union members respect picket lines and not cross them so how can they possibly be described as strike breakers.
strike breakers to me are union members who cross official picket lines where a democratic strike decision has been reached or non-union members who are hired to strike break.
The agreement is an absult peace of s**t and a slap in the face to all our loyal members
who have taken I/A, the PEC should hang their head down in disgrace and maybe
start looking for a new job as i cannot see our members forgiving them at the next PEC elections.
I cannot believe the agreement I have just read.
when it comes to the ballot this junk will go through not because its a good deal the simple reason is a lot of the waverers will use the secret ballot to accept this.
the tuc spokesman who brokered the deal last week said royal mail were the hardest people he has had to deal with,but surely we could have had a better outcome than this.
there should be no grey areas when it comes down to interpretation of the agreement but this deal leaves to much that can be twisted by management, all in all a poor day for the membership
