URGENT SecurityChecks/Work is TOMORROW. PLEASE HELP

Hi so I noticed a few people have posted here with similar problems with no replies, just trying my luck incase somebody sees this one.

Yesterday marked the 14 day period for security checks, and no email accepting or rejecting. My provisional offer states that I start work at 5pm tomorrow.

What do I do? if I don't receive accepted security checks today do I just turn up tomorrow? apparently all the phonelines/emails are automated so I cannot get in contact with anybody. Does anybody know a phone number I can ring to find out the status of my security checks? I cannot check on the website because it says "progressed against a different role" (as I was moved from the tyne and wear main building, to the outhouse).

If I go tomorrow and they send me back, is there any chance I could still get this christmas casual job? just maybe a week later or something? I just don't understand why it would say "up to 14 days", and give me a work START DATE, and then not notify me of the situation or keep me updated.

Any help on my next steps would be greatly appreciated :/

hi yes just turn up and see what they say.there may be a reason why you have not heard anything yet.

HI thanks for the reply :) That's my current plan. just bring my provisional offer, and my welcome pack (came this morning, tho still no security email!), and see if I can talk to anybody about whats going on :)

Jamie! I just finished my first day as a christmas casual! still NO EMAIL about security checks, no texts, nothing. I simply showed up, (didn't mention the security checks at all, I didn't wanna be the first to bring it up) But they didn't bring it up or ask at all :) obviously it may be different for different places, but the team valley one didn't care or ask. I simply went in, signed my name, and they started the induction.

So my advice is just go there, do not bring up the security checks yourself, and most likely they will just process you normally. I guess there is delays in their system or something? communication is terrible. Its pretty shocking I didn't get an email, but what can you do.
