[i would like the old light grey unform back please. nice quote]

The light grey uniform, now there is a uniform from the past! You would not have looked out of place in the film "SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER" with those flares! With the pull in waist straps... nice

They used to come as a zip insert with the harrington jacket (a blue cotton bomber type jacket), and i dont believe they were ever available separately.

Mine is on its last legs and i may have to speak nicely to my other half who is quite handy on the sewing machine to see if it possible to convert a long sleeve fleece into a sleeveless.

Because when Royal Mail discover that a certain range of unifrom is popluar amongst staff they will withdraw it from issue.

See also, harrington jackets, the old style fleeces that didn't fall apart within two months, doc marten boots and shoes, sleveless fleeces etc etc.
I'm working to my time!

It's a Royal Mail policy that anything practical, comfortable, warm, waterproof and hard wearing has to be discontinued. This is why they have never produced a waterproof delivery pouch. They would only have to replace it with one made from blotting paper within two years.
