Remember the defensive position. No agreement or sell out by the union will change our right to do our job properly.
If we do our jobs following correct procedures then even though we're done for, at least those greedy people's vision to pass on the cost of providing a public service onto our backs, will be scuppered.
I have been doing the job properly since after the strikes and have found I have work for practically all my hours.
Those who are still insistent on cutting corners, be prepared to be well and truly shafted.
We still have employment law on our side..
You cannot be made to walk for more than 3.5 hours a day.
You cannot be made to carry more than the bag weights agreed.
You cannot be made to do over your time.
Don't be so worried about the agreement. No matter what, it cannot contravene these issues.

The Union pay POLARIS an independent scutinizer to count the votes. They normally have postal workers up there to see that everything is ok. Couple of people from my branch have sat it on NEC counts etc. Get your names up to the Organising department guys / girlschromium05 wrote:Anyone have solid info on WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR COUNTING THE VOTES?
We don't want an American "BUSH STYLE" vote fraud thing....

WHAT IS THE DEAL THEN.HAVENT READ ANYTHING AS YET BUT SEEMS BY YOUR COMMENTS YOU HAVE THEM ALL.PLEASE SHAREIWW Fellow Worker wrote:It looks like the membership of the CWU will have to take on our own leadership as well as RM 'management'. Billy Boy will recommend the deal, we'll get bombarded with letters from him and Wardy telling us how great it is, we'll get letters from Stan and Ollie telling us how great the deal is, and we'll have walls full of propaganda posters and Work Time Lying to cope with. The only, and probably the best, thing we can do is let our workmates know how crap things will really be if we don't vote it out. It looks like a sell-out, but is anyone really surprised by that? I'm not.

Fu@k,
i'm gutted .
How could they after all they have said and asked us to do .
We have lost pay over this ,we even put our jobs on the line with UIA .
.
THEN THEY GO AND RATIFY A DEAL THEY SAID WAS UNACCEPTABLE UP UNTILL LAST FRIDAY .
I tell you what my office have been shafted by managment many times befor but we did not expect to get the BIGGEST KICK IN THE BALLS BY THE UNION.
I for one will be voting NO AND I WILL BE ASKING MY WORK MATES TO DO THE SAME (I AM NOT A REP),if this is accepted then i for 1 will be leaving the union .
f***ing gutted,
i am gutted .
