As far as I know, its the tax free proceeds from selling the shares above the £4.89 threshold. For example, if you sold at £5.00, you would get 11p per share tax free, that is transferred into your bank account. Each of the shares that are sold under £4.89 would be taxable. If 500 shares sold at £5.00 per share = £2500 total. £55 tax free, £2445 would be taxable. But please don't quote me on that.deanozoff wrote:I just got a £25 payment from Equinity this morning, anyone know what this could be?

Definitely paid 4th Nov. Just phoned equinity as payroll said it was nothing to do with them. According to equinity they've already transferred money to Royal Mail and they been told that it will be added to wages next week.

How can payroll say its nothing to do with them? They are the ones sorting tat and National insurance out,My share proceeds were sent to Royal Mail last wednesday,So no excuse for it not being in this weeks wage,If it is put in next weeks i want the interest they have earned on the 2 weeks they will have held it for,They will be making a small fortune if they hold on to all that money.Jambomatt1874 wrote:Definitely paid 4th Nov. Will soon see when wage slips come in tomorrow. If it isn't in this weeks wages then HR are going to be inundated with calls for another week.

And rightly so the shower of ***** they've had the money since last Wednesday and people got told it would be in the following pay date, which would be this Friday. Utter shambles. Shouldn't be surprised like.
Edit: wouldn't be surprised either if wage slips are delayed till Friday

Totally agree. I will be one of them making the phones constantly ring asking where the money is. Wouldn't be the first time my wage slip has taken a trip somewhere else, especially when o/time etc is owed

But don't forget that shower of ****** as you call them, are not responsible for the policy of Royal Mail. They like us when delivering, are only acting on dictates from above. If anyone really thinks that a call handler or HR staffer or wages clerk on the end of the phone is to blame, then they need their heads read.Jhaigh82 wrote:eddie5887 wrote:Will soon see when wage slips come in tomorrow. No its a forecast debit and will be placed in separate accounting procedure. It will have NO effect on the value of Royal Mail at all. In fact the reverse is more likely, if they are seen as holding on to it for any reason then that may affect the share price because the rumour mill will start and nervous investors will put 2 and 2 together, come up with -5 and will bail on the shares. Perhaps leading to a run on selling.

I agree it's not HR fault, they have obviously been told to hold on to the money. They are just people on the coalface like us while the fat cats pull the strings,I'm guessing some of them are in the same predicament.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:But don't forget that shower of ****** as you call them, are not responsible for the policy of Royal Mail. Agree that HR, Payroll etc are not the ones to blame, but surely if they are receiving high call volumes from staff etc regarding a particular question (ie) when will we receive money from the sale of shares, then surely they should be addressing this issue with a response from them above?
