Royal Mail is opening nine temporary parcel centres to help deal with the increase in deliveries in the run-up to Christmas.

Around 3,300 workers will be based at the sites, part of the 19,000 seasonal staff being taken on across Royal Mail’s operations.

This is the sixth year that Royal Mail has opened a dedicated network of parcel sorting centres.

They are in Bathgate in West Lothian, Rochdale, Leeds, Puntyclun in South Wales, Birmingham, Swindon in Wiltshire, Greenford in west London, Atherstone in Warwickshire, and Coventry, opening on a phased basis from October 31.

Well they do have a track record of non payment on time if ever and they expect us to recommend them to our siblings and friends as well as not paying us for overtime what a cheek have they got?

Possibly the reason why all rota weeks and days off in our DO have been told "We don't need you" for the last few weeks - a simple money-saving exercise which will come back to haunt "da management" when they they come pleading in late November/December ... when we tell 'em to "F*ck right off"

If they are agency staff they will be paying more than £7.20 an hour for them, the agency will want their cut.
