Changing your working hours over xmas

I am working on a part-time contract, 6 hours a day, normal hours are 0900-1500. This week, I've been asked if I would like to work in the Callers Office during December, but from 1400-2000, instead of a postal round during my normal hours.

Would there be any entitlement to any enhanced payment for working these hours (or the latter part at least) instead of my norm, or does any shift allowance only apply to those working on the afternoon/evening Xmas parcel runs, working beyond 2000?

Lad in our office has taken this role on in our office and starts at 10.00am instead of his usual contract start of 7 am and does his 8 hours.Should he definitely be getting the £44 payement starting from this week?
Manager is saying he has no idea what this payement is and the lad wont be getting it.
What has happened in other offices?
