hi,
i have my welcome day on the 19th October at sheffield, just wondering is there anything i should take with me other than my ID, what does the day involve and will there be people there who are starting at the same office as me or?

Just your ID...they will give you a pen and the day has nothing at all to do with the job...union guy may pop in... there may well be people starting at the same DO as you...there was about 9 people on the induction I had 2 offices had 3 people and the others where all singles

I brought everything they requested, ID, the offer letter etc.

But none of it was checked! :d'oh!

No the email said to send them in the envelope with our signed contract. Plus some forms need the payroll number. That's on the contract

It said to send them immediately or in the envelope with the contract.
Yes, some of them required the payroll no.

I sent mine back without the payroll number as I assume they can look that up themselves. Having read on here how late contracts can be arriving I thought it best not to wait. I have my induction day this Monday and start on Tuesday. No sign of my contract yet.
