AWR Uplift Backdated Pay 2016

Dear Angard Worker

The new pay increases have now been implemented for all AWR qualified workers in line with the comparable Royal Mail roles.

What this means for you:

This increase will be back dated as a lump sum calculated by your gross earnings from 1st April 2016 to 26th August 2016. The final amount will also include any holiday you will have accrued on the back dated pay increase.

Your payslip dated 9th September will include any hours worked for the week ending Friday 2nd September at the new pay rates. Any back dated pay owed (including any adjustments made) from 1st April 2016 will be shown on your payslip as an "underpay".

I know but an extra 160 odd quid pre tax is not to be sniffed at, plus 20p extra an hour from now on. As one of the few people in the world who has had continuous employment through Angard for 18 months it did actually mean something to me...

I got £40 as underpayment. Not bad, better than nothing.

Which site do you work at? I work at princess royal distribution centre in NW London and angard gives me 2-3 shifts every week each shift like 10 hrs.

You are very lucky since achieving full pay i receive an average of 1 shift a week which means about every 5 weeks i get 2 or 3 nights and a couple of weeks with no shifts at all strangely the people who seem to do no work at all and take illegal breaks (we all know who they are) get in practically every night despite managers knowing that they are the worst workers.

I work deliveries, it was a holiday relief gig but I have been covering a long term sickness. Just trained somebody else on the route finally after pretty much ten months. It's a rural route. Lucky break I guess.
