he should be covered by The Equality Act 2010 this replaced the disability discrimination act ,, if he has a proveable history of mental illness he should be fine ,, they may offer him IHR to try and get him off the books ,, i this is the way i left over 2 years ago , i had documented episodes of depression over more than a 10 year period abd was offered IHR and got to keep my shares as a good leaver ,, it was the job causing me the depression after 5 years of bullying and harrasment from my manager

just to give everyone an update,we collected all the advice we were given, sat him down, and explained to him what he had to do to keep his job, but alas he did not seem to retain the info, it was like he had lost the will to live and he just gave up, so therefore he lost his job and his shares, we wish him all the best for the future.

I got out on IHR due to depression brought on from years of bullying and harassment by incompetent management just before Christmas last year and I've never felt better. Got a new job within weeks of leaving and now go to work and come again with a smile on my fave and spring in my step
Don't miss RM one little bit. Just feel sorry for everyone going through what I had to put with and from going on this site, there are loads. All I can say is keep going you will be away from it one day.

Well said there is life after RM and most times a better one because the people upon high don't give a f**k for anyone else but themselves. Glad to see a positive out come for you thinking of leaving the sinking ship myself before all the rat's eat the last people and themselves in the process of survival!

Try and keep in touch with him,has he got any family because I fear this will not end well.
