I got the 'congratulations you have passed your recent interview/assessment' email on Friday and have duly given the information for the security checks. Really looking forward to getting started and have found this forum to be really helpful so far. Here's hoping the checks don't take too long.

Just had an email from recruitment saying that OH Assist will be writing to me to do an online questionnaire because I told them that I have a pre existing medical condition (Type 1 diabetes). Is it anything to worry about? I've been diabetic for over 25 years and never had a problem with it and ive never missed a days work because of it, just wondering if there are any other diabetics on here that can advise?

Diabetes is recognised as falling under the Equality Act for reasonable adjustments so they probably have to do it for legal reasons. It will help when you start at RM if you do have an absence because of it, as any instances of sickness caused by your medical condition would normally be discounted from the process.

In other words nothing to worry about.
