Seems as though he is pissing you off! Does it matter if he does 6 walks? You sound very bitter against him..eastie wrote:We are so shortstaffed and today one postman who always does docket did his own round plus 2 complete walks on O/T .
Never seen that before but the DOM couldn't get anyone else to take the docket as the rest of the office have had enough this week being so heavy and the guy never says no to docket.
That would be 7.48 hours on his round plus 6 + 6 meaning 19.48 hours. Is that even allowed on H/S grounds. The chap is 60 and what happened if he keeled over in the heat?

3 walks, 15 miles?Spedley wrote:I did 3 walks a few years back - even thought it was a light Saturday it wasn't easy but good money.
You can save a lot of time on a shared van duty when you do both jobs - it's like doing another whole walk but with essentially zero travelling time. The other walk I did was a HCT duty - again you can save a lot of time if you have a van to do it in (Saturday afternoon you can have your choice of vans!)
You can't fool your legs that they haven't walked best part of 15 miles though.
Would be well, well over 20 miles surely unless deliveries in your office are tiny!

Yes, all our walks are tiny. We compare our whole office to your longest walks regardless of terraced houses or rural delivery and when we come home we laugh at how easy a day we've had.
