Still waiting for start date

Ive had a job offer, subject to 'checks' etc.. But still waiting for start date and its been just over 5 weeks...

How long does it normally take from interview to start date?

I guess it depends where you are...I had interview on 12th July and start day is next week 18th....

Took me 3 months from my interview to get a start date.

They're probably waiting for the busy period to start so they can chuck you straight in at the deep end
