Reject conditional offer
I am currently waiting my security checks and made many attempts to contact someone anyone from Royal Mail with no response, basically I discovered the position I applied for (the village I live in) the post office is closing and the office is moving to a location 20 miles away in the opposite direction from my child care, all in all with the extra travel time , extra 10 hours child care a week etc it works out il be earning less then I'm paying out and slightly peed off when I applied for the position I have not been made aware once about this change. So as the offer is still conditional I take it I can retract my application. 8 weeks not working waiting for this job and so far Royal Mail have been a massive disappointment. Rant over

Yes you'll be fine to turn it down, it's an offer after all.
However, if you are claiming any benefits turning down a job offer may affect them.
Just in case you apply again for a job at RM when they offer and you turn it down, be diplomatic but truthful, they may consider you for other positions that are better for you.

Unfortunately as one occasion on my 15 years of working I travelled for 7 months and therefor cannot claim anything even with a 1 year old child to look after lol (great system we have). Thanks for the reply, I think it is bad practice that everything is done through email and you never get a human response about anything!
