They could do with some pockets , deep ones at that so nothing falls out , ie pens ,notice cards , keys ,wallets etc .
Havn't ordered the jacket myself , but my colleagues mention it . They do look ok though !

"It’s big enough to wear over a fleece, but I found the sizing different, so people may need to order a smaller size than they’re used to."
So order a smaller size than you’re used to and it won't be big enough to wear over a fleece.

If it's anything like the current cagoule it'll still be big enough to wear over a fleece even if you size down. I wear a medium everything else, but a small cagoule and its plenty big enough to fit over a fleece.Lounge Lizard wrote:"It’s big enough to wear over a fleece, but I found the sizing different, so people may need to order a smaller size than they’re used to."![]()

Who's idea was it to make them in dark grey, we blokes on rurals will blend in nicely with all the other dark grey stuff out in the sticks, not exactly 10/10 on the H&S front are they.
Yes I do know we have Hi-Vis vests, but after being hit by a colleague in the yard in broad day light, I have very little faith in them

I hope they sorted the pockets out. as it is not deep enough plus I also want 4 pockets in the front not 3.

I have seen a postie wearing a red gillette , same as the fleece but sleveless. No idea where he got it as haven't seen it on uniform ordering page.

I suspect a DIY job with scissors and perhaps some sewing.Craig_Fairbrass wrote:I have seen a postie wearing a red gillette , same as the fleece but sleveless. No idea where he got it as haven't seen it on uniform ordering page.

We don't need a gilet, cagoule AND a fleece. We need one lightweight, gore-tex-like hardshell jacket that does those three jobs in one when you already have a thick polo shirt or long sleeved shirt on and still have the option of the storm jacket. They would cost more but surely less than 3 items that get replaced way too often.
Too many people use their own clothing in this job because the uniform supplied in no way is appropriate for the s**t conditions we endure.
The amount of s**t items of clothing we've had just goes to show how useless their "trials" are. One rainy day with the cagoule is enough for any postie to say it's totally useless. It's a subpar wind-stopper at best.
