Work part time in mail sort and have picked up a second job outside of the company(not for a competitor)
I seem to recall something in my contract(that I can't find) that I must advise RM of this
Do I? Why?

I don't remember anything other than you are not allowed to work for a competitor. A lot of PT staff have other jobs. It might be relevant if you are a driver and then are driving over legal hours. Also if you would be working over maximum legal hours under the Working Time regulations - I think you aren't legally allowed to work over 70 hours a week, and have to have 2 days off in a 14 day period. And a 8 hour break in every 24 hours.
