When does mail become live?

Told the managers I would not go beyond me finish time today as they are not putting enough extra help on to help out with all the extra post due to the 12th.
When I returned to the office managers were all gone but a note was left on me frame asking me to attend a meeting next week about why I cant work overtime and possibly moving me onto a different duty to allow me to finish on time.
Can they do this!

The short answer is no.

Duty selection is covered by the wayforward agreement and the over running procedure is what the managers should already have within the unit.

If you have the meeting then firstly ask for the agreement/procedure they are following.

Cant wait to see what they say to me tomorrow at my meeting especially as they are working on there own authority. Today they forced every one again to do there stupid lapsing plans and at least 3 dutys said they are going to cut off.
Is it just all the offices in N.Ireland that are been forced to work to budget or is it everywhere? We have been told now that we are not allowed to claim any overtime but they are happy to pay staff from other areas travel allowance and what ever overtime wtf?
