Newcastle Post Office team deliver top service

A TOP-performing post office has scooped an industry award for service.

The branch, in High Street, Newcastle, was recognised at the 2016 Post Office Network Sales Awards in the Best Mains Branch category and the Financial Services category.

The ceremony celebrated the performance of teams and individuals working in over 11,500 branches across the country.

Diane Dwyer, from Newcastle Post Office, said: "We're really delighted to receive this award.

"We all work really hard to offer our customers a great service, and we're pleased the Post Office has recognised our efforts through this award."

Kevin Gilliland, Post Office network and sales director, added: "We are undertaking the biggest modernisation programme in UK retail history, transforming branches into modern retail outlets and ensuring that our customers have easy access to a wide range of products to meet their needs.

"People working in branches like Newcastle-under-Lyme are key to this transformation, and to ensuring that our branches remain at the heart of communities for the future."
