Don't tell me why "people" won't vote for an equitable distribution of wealth, power and opportunity - tell me why you won't. You can't speak for "people" - you can only speak for fishtank. So speak.

On second thoughts, if thats the level of the debate it might be better if you didn't speak.

People or me if you like will vote for all of these things...If they believe it's achievable and sustainable and that's where a leader steps up to the plate, a man or woman who makes the people believe in the policy, believe that it is achievable, believe that it is sustainable, Corbyn is not that leader.

Corbyn supporters say it isn't about personality, stop playing the man but it's the man who lacks the ability to engage voters across the whole political spectrum not just the converted, he may be a wonderful human being but he couldn't sell a bucket of water to a man on fire.

Thousands attend Liverpool rally in support of Jeremy Corbyn.

Meanwhile, just across the water in Wallasey Angela Eagle is being faced with an involuntary midlife crisis

Sorry ?
dvbuk55 wrote:You know the world jetblack describes is like communism
Erm, I reckon the world that I aspire to shares a lot in common with the world that 90% of the people I have met in my lifetime have also aspired to. The other 10% were either in old style high security mental institutions or paid up members of the David Icke fanclub.

Call me a commi pinko if you must LOL - if it helps you get a handle on the situation better.
Its no handle at all, of course.

Stop echoing what the beeb have told you - stop being a sheep - stop looking for a Jesus Christ to save you from yourself - stop being Rupert Murdochs ventriloquist dummy. And start seeing the problems of this world for what they are.
The ones that truly benefit from this ridiculous personality politics are those who realise how easy it is to win such a battle, by procuring those with the whitest smile (which they always can)

Well you both live in a fantasy world where economics play no part, where the clouds are fluffy, it never rains and rabbits gambol on the village green, except there's no room for the rabbits because the village green is covered with tents.

There's nothing wrong with aspirations jb, they just have to be realistic.

Some people can't quite tell the difference between Socialism and Communism perhaps that's a good starting point, explaining why they are as different as UKIP and the BNP.

That's very true.

Unfortunately some of the worst culprits are socialists and communists.
If I can expand on your analogy, UKIP have eventually realised that it's not a smart idea to be associated with the lunatics on the fringe, I'm not so sure socialists have got that message yet, the communists are still seen as an ally of socialism instead of what they really are, a dangerous enemy. You've been to marches, you know what I'm talking about.

You are right FT it doesn't help that some communist revolutionary groups call themselves socialists, it muddies the water terribly.

Hold on a minute - aren't the Chinese meant to be commies ?

Image

That doesn't look to me like a nation with its head in the clouds, wearing donkey jackets.

The communism/socialism thing is a bit old hat these days. Things have moved on, evolved. I'm typing this post on a computer that was made in Shenzen District, Peoples Republic of China by a company based in California, USA, with shareholders spread globally.

Corbyn is a loser, you may well like him but the thought of another Tory government should be the defining factor in wether he deserves CWU support. Labour Party members do not represent the general election voting populous and as for the CWU backing Corbyn without my say so ... democracy?

jb, Just how many labour MPs do you think would be in parliament if they went into a general election with Corbyn as the leader. Remember the Liberals at the last election, they were slaughtered.

Hence why it's important to vote in every election. The Unions executive committee held a meeting and decided to back Corbyn, rightly or wrongly they reflect the opinions of the people who voted for them. If other members voted for someone else then they lost out to democracy. If people didn't vote at all then there is an argument that not only did democracy let them down but that they also let democracy down.

Personally, I vote every time I get a chance to. Even in the Royal Mail AGM paper that went round. After all, one of the votes was whether to accept the dividend or not, every vote to accept it from a postie makes it harder for it to be voted down.

So its all right to ignore a democratic vote in some circumstances :hmmmm

Is that only if you disagree with the outcome. Remainers are wrong to want to overturn a democratic decision (I think they are), but anti-Corbyn MPs are right to try and depose a Leader which an absolute majority of the party voted for.
