Yes looks like a one-off deal

The introduction of a 1 year profit related scheme that has the potential to return a lump sum to employees for over achievement of the company’s operating profit target. This does not include profit generated by one off exceptions such as the sale of an existing Royal Mail site. However, the target is the same as that which triggers Royal Mail Executives’ incentive plans.

However this time the coalition had the numbers to force it through , so the CWU developed a plan b which is the first legal binding trade union agreement which stops the worst impact of privisation. Royal Mail wanted to franchise and outsource some parts of the industry and create a two tier work force ! They can't why because of the legal guarantees ! You keep moaning some of us will keep fighting
When do these guarantees end?

There is no end day for the legal guarantees but the first review is in 2019.

Now Aiden why are there agency staff in your mail centre ? There should be a review in line with the recent joint statement !

In your comment about London , every offices or Branch should adopt the stance which London has done time and time again. Is that we stand together and we will force Royal Mail to abide by National Agreemenrs we don't wait for CWU HQs ! The union is only as strong as it is in your workplace. If you give a bully the opportunity to exploit people and you don't stand together than they will walk over you !

And that is exactly what rm are doing in our mc walking all over us. as for agency staff excuse is too many off sick or too many took evr. 10 people took evr just before easter. also is there not an agreement where opg,s must be given ot before agency staff are used. thought leadership was supposed to come from the top well it certainly does,nt in our mc.

Nice speech but nationally our union organisation and recruitment is a shambles so if an individual member in an office that doesn't stand together decides that chucking money at the cwu is pointless it's a problem for all of us, if a rep packs it in because their branch isn't supporting them it's a problem for all of us, if offices get rolled over because reps aren't good enough it's a problem for all of us.

A union is only as strong as its organisation, that hopefully comes from the top and filters down to the workplace.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share
