Hi, in April i submitted an application for a postman / postwoman role with driving duties at my local delivery office. I got an email through the same day & completed the online tests. I then heard nothing until the middle of May when i received the dreaded, you've been unsuccessful email. I noted that the status on my candidate profile also showed unsuccessful with the status date. I've noted this evening that the same job including the same job ID has been advertised again. I went to apply again, but was informed by the computer system that i'd already applied for the post, obviously because of the same job ID. I did note that despite my candidate profile still showing me as being unsuccessful that the my status date had changed to todays date. Does this mean that they are looking at my previous application again or am i just barred from applying to that delivery office.....unless the job ID changes? Cheers

Without knowing the recruitment process intimately it's difficult to say, it may mean they are looking at you again, or it may just be that because you applied again, or they logged the new application, this changed the date of the status, but not the status. Unfortunately, it's unlikely anyone on here will know for certain either way. All you can do is await the next contact, or try to contact them yourself.

That happened to me - re apply using a different email address and it should go through. I got a job and love it!
