Look at other people who do a similar sector jobs. No courier gets what we do, a lot of them are running around for minimum wage.

What has a pay increase got to do with standing up for what you believe lol? I personally believe that we don't really deserve a pay rise at all, we're already getting paid well for what is, in all reality, an easy enough job. Do you really want to start a picket line when you're being offered a pay rise above inflation, which is far better than most people in the country can hope to get? And spout off shite about "what you believe" while doing it?

Pay offer 1.6% Inflation figures just released 0.3% No brainer, I'm voting Yes. Not worth balloting / walking out to get something improved but with strings attached. Most people probably couldn't withstand loss of earnings anyway.

As an example, local pub food went up a damn sight more than 0.3%, try 10+%.

Don't know if what I heard is true but the managers have been offered a revised 4% deal. so voted against our 1.6% rightly or wrongly.

They are getting 1.6% backdated to September 2015 and then1.3% from September 2016.

when you say "dont deserve a pay rise at all" are you saying we shouldnt get an inflation linked pay rise either ?

Wheyyyy, you got me there. Ok. I think EVERYONE should get an inflation linked pay rise. But most people don't, so for RM employees to throw a hissy fit for an above inflation pay rise, strikes me as somewhat greedy, and maybe even a little pathetic.
