Don't know if this is off topic or not - but am I the only one to think its ridiculous that UEFA has turned the recent trouble around on the Russians ? Hey, I'm sure that Russia has its idiots as well, but come on - the riot squad was out in Marseilles for 2 days prior to the match to deal with the England fans.

And yet still - Putin did it :arrrghhh

There was something suspect about that russian mob in my opinion. Gumshields and mma gloves? At football, really? Just too well trained and organised to just be football related, and lets remember your average russian isnt exactly Roman Abramovich in the old money stakes to even travel for a football tournament. I wouldnt be suprised if this has something to do with putin. Whether just a show of physical strength against the English or a plan to cause trouble at France 2016,in order to show the world at the world cup in 2018 that Russia can hold a tournament without trouble. Just my own conspiracy theory.

Spot on.

I heard, and I fully believe it will be out soon, that Russia (who exactly I don't know) sent a train with 1,500 highly trained 'hooligans'. Mostly military and ex-military. Arrangements made for this train to be allowed in and no searches carries out. If you look at all the videos on You Tube etc, one of them in particular is scary.

There are a few bars on a road and typical boisterous / drunk English fans. The camera is high up and you can see a gang of Russians coming up a side street. All with black T shirts and muscles and moving with military-like precision. They were way more organised than French police. They picked off lone fans, then moved on to smaller groups. It's never one - on - one, always a pair of Russians. This is way above mere hooliganism.

A little bit conspiracy theorist of you guys. I don't believe that any world leader, even one as mad as Putin, would decide to send in trained fighters to pose as football hooligans just to batter a bunch of drunken England fans. I'm a Scotsman myself and am having to hold my tongue in regards to saying something about arrogance but I'll stop myself just short of it :P

Having said all that, I wouldn't be TOTALLY surprised if it came out that Putin was doing something as mental as that

Sorry - I don't buy it.

If the England fans continue to place a strain upon the already overstretched French police and security services (ie. in the next few days) then the team should be sent home.
Maybe the Russian team should also be sent home in similar circumstances.

But given that TPTB (the US - and they don'y even play football :arrrghhh ) have been trying to isolate Russia and strip it of its right to host the 2018 World Cup (more or less since the day it was granted to them) then I think we should all excercise a healthy scepticism over the "news" that we are fed.

Talk about pot kettle black :shhhhh

LOL @ conspiracy theory. I'm hearing that a lot on here.

But no - there's no conspiracy as far as I can see.

A small minority of England fans are unruly idiotic violent slobs and bring the name of these isles into disrepute. Proven throughout modern history to be so. Fact.

The US (and its NATO lapdogs ie.the UK/France and Germany(Germany a little)) have been sanctioning Russia in everyway possible for years now. Fact.

Why should a working man want to sanction the Russians I hear you ask ?

Well, by all accounts them Russians are just wrong un's :Very Happy

Its just been proved so in Marseilles - hasn't it ? :hmmmm

Clearly old Jet's been eves-dropping on the coded instructions GCHQ have been beaming to their agent Wayney Fatslob, 22, late of Dog End Terrace Wolver'ampton and heard about his mission to discredit destroy Putin's New imperialist army.
Step 1 Wayney, sing a football song throw a plastic chair at 'em...

Please people get the facts before you make these idiotic comments.

Yes i agree there will have been some England fans looking for trouble in Marseilles - there always is in any large football fan group.

But there was extreme provocation.
A good friend of mine was there and if you really want to know the facts feel free to have a read. it's a bit long winded, but gives you a real insight into what really happened and is likely to happen at the World Cup in Russia.

Just read. I'm not sure what your mate is talking about in truth. The semiotics are all mixed up. "Russian Nazi's" ?

The main objection seems to really be that the Russian idiots (in cahoots it would seem, interestingly enough, with the local Marseilles "idiots" - why is that ?) were well prepared, "muscular" and gave the English thugs a good hiding. They were well prepared, I'd suggest, because they were aware of the riots that had been taking place in Marseilles for the two nights previous to the match where the French riot squad had to be called out on account of the violent and drunken England fans.
All this occurring in a country under fire from terrorism - indeed a country who have just had one of their top police officers and his wife assasinated. They really need the English (and Russian) idiots to contend with don't they ?

But the Russians are the ones to blame and the sole team with the suspended ban ? Really ?

As for the World Cup being hosted in Russia - if football hooliganism were ever to be held as criteria for the hosting of a football tournament (or not) then England would never be in the position to host a tournament as things stand. Or ever would have been for the last 30 years.

Lets be fair here - when it comes to football hooliganism the UK wrote the book.

It's come to something when Putin is to blame even for our violent subculture of football fans. What next ? Flat beer - Putin did it :d'oh!

England fans at it again tonight in Lille - the place where Russia have just played and been beat - the place where there is no earthly reason for England fans to be.

What a disgrace.

Lets see how they spin this one.
