Hi all,
Ive seen a few forums now about waiting list candidates, waiting for replys using the my application email address but wondered how long its taken people to get answers. im now more than a week after my first email and still have no reply. Is there any other contact details as i really cant miss any opportunities. Do they not reply until the closing date? Its driving me insane lol...any help appreciated and i do appologise if ive missed a similar question on this forum, Thanks

It does take ages and they don't reply to emails, eventually you will get updated. It took nearly 6 months from when I applied to when I started a few years ago. I hear it's got quicker but not a huge improvement.

Well well
Just had a reply!
"Hello
Thank you for your email.
Unfortunately, the vacancy has already been scheduled for interviewing."
So why do they ask for waiting list applicants to apply for any other jobs we are interested in??

Thanks for replying, its so frustrating if they arent going to reply then i really dont understand this waiting list. Just confirmation would be nice. Whats the point in doing as the email asks if there is no intention of replying to candidates? Its probably me being impatient but i hate not knowing where i stand.

Hi, Ive now been working for royal mail for a week, it took just over a week for my pre employment checks. As long as you reply to any emails you are sent asap it should be fairly quick. The communication is a lot better now that you have been put forward, hope this helps :)
