You have been very coy about the brand. Is it to do with not wishing to give them any free advertising?
I can't believe Postman prevented you from posting it given that he broke the super injunction and named the Rocket Man on these pages.

All this will be for the DOM or Sector Manager's bonus
I do believe in our Quality targets but it will only ever be achievable if Royal Mail reduce our Quantity. And could it ever be classed as a performance issue if you bring a few Tracks back on a daily issue, even though you have attempted delivery, tried a next door neighbour and worked to your time?
Clearly if we got the time to try a few more neighbours to get 100% achievement - then at the very least it would not be unreasonable to employ more staff and make the deliveries smaller.

On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

I remember my previous DOM would work up to (and often over) four hours after we finished reattempting all tracked that hadn't been successfully delivered that day (including trying every neighbour on the street if necessary). Needless to say, he had a mental breakdown a few months later and we've not seen him since.
Also worth pointing out he tried to convince me to scan any undelivered tracked as "safeplace" and bring it back to the office. Crazy people...

Trust me it was achieved by abject bullying and intimidation.

Royal Mail have just had to apologise for this story as it should have read 9.9%.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused to those who thought it was really 99%

We had a manager who stated that "Getting rid of Tracked items is more important than the security of the mail!", though strangely they where not willing to put this in writing for some reason?Goatpostie wrote:Just ask your manager to give you permission in writing, to door step, then you know the answer.

Woe betide anyone that brought a tracked back. They would be surrounded by managers , given the third degree and a lot of the time people were being sent back out and told not to come back till they had got shut of it.occasionally they were paying overtime to people to go back out with returned tracks as long as they ensured they got shut of them. Our Dom would have had us leaving them in a septic tank if it made his figures look better.
