BACKLOG PRESSURE OVERTIME IN YOUR OFFICE

Post by tommo_101 »

just wondering if anyone out there is getting any pressure overtime to catch up with the backlog
(in delivery offices)
i'd appreciate it if you could let me know and what area or office you are from

in my office the only pressure o.t goes to those who crossed the picket line and came to work during the strikes
i think this goes on in other offices to...

many thanks

If anyone does want to reply I think I'd better point out you could fall foul of the Official Secrets Act if your DOM is nasty barsyeward if you name your office. Might be worth PMing the OP if you don't mind telling him.

Perhaps not even PM's,what's all this about tommo anyway?
People if they wish can PM me or one of the MODS and we'll post it in the thread.
After the last few days and my announcement in the News Forum, best for you lot to keep a low profile for a while.

our office was told the same when the 1st wave of disputes started after it all kicked off he withdrew that comment and banned all ext dly

this time ext dly is still banned (dont bother me dont do o/t and would rather cut off) but rumour is that certain scabby types are getting it questioned my DOM this morning and he denied it and i warned him that if this is happening then he will get a shitload of grievances on his desk tomorrow morning

gonna do some digging to find out if hes bullshitting i reckon he is

how do i stand regarding looking at his ext dly O/T sheet am i allowed or is there even a sheet with scab names on

You can work it out by seeing what time the "gentlemen" mustn't use the S word :shhhhh go out and then see if they've got any left on the bay next morning  I've found managers are not the most tidy people and they often leave things lying around in full view of people who aren't looking at them :hmmmm

We've been offered to finish our deliveries on o/t, most of us refused and cut off.

Royal Mail must learn that they can't turn overtime on and off like a tap.

First round of strikes DOM said no pressure O/T
now they are begging you to extend and offering all
sorts of deals to shift the backlog ,eg throw out your walk
plus all the trays left in (9-10) and only deliver
half your walk other half done on O/T by short sighted
part timers or docket mad posties :arrrghhh
one postie had loads of trays stacked up someone
preped it all up bagged it all up sent half of it with driver
to pouchboxes then the postie (i use this word lightly)
deliverd it for 5hrs docket (half a walk)
wait for it

ON HIS DAY OFF
We're fu*cked with morons like this in the job

No overtime to clear backlog in our office at all.We do about 2 hours IPS a day clear in and throw off untill 9.30,then tie up go out do a full delivery(we finish at 3.30) come back do a bit of a.s.a.p and go home.No protracted,no extra thrus, some walks have got shitloads under there frames, one walk has its own york full of bags.Dom told us this was across the network NO OVERTIME AFTER STRIKES.
