Hi, I'm new here.
I've applied for 2 local postman with driving jobs and completed the online tests. Statuses saying testing complete. The first I applied for is from 8th April (12 weeks ago).
What's the longest anybody has waited?

Count it as a blessing if you miss out. I was so pleased when I got the job. Fresh air....plenty of exercise.......meeting and greeting people....every day so different.
2 years on.......broken leg whilst on duty.....long term sick.....no pay......... and a limp for the rest of my life.
Enjoy it whilst you can.

Nothing like a bit of sympathy for a fellow postie - have you read SFC's other posts which detail her injury? She doesn't have much choiceWallaceshroom wrote:Did Royal Mail break your leg???
If you can't work , claim disability......don't sit there putting a downer on others
He may not like it,me might like it,let him see instead of giving him a negative opinion
, personally I think it's a great job, mood hours, good money, good job
I find a lot of people who moan about the job, have either been there for years or just can't hack it, iv been a plasterer for 8 years , self employed, now that is hard work n stress, postie is easy, if you don't like a job, do something about it instead of whining about it....
but 'sit there' because of her injury - she doesn't have a problem with the job - it's the injury she suffered while on duty
and the subsequent physical, emotional and financial effects - if it was me I'd probably think I was entitled to a bit of 'whining' too.
SFC - all the best for your recovery

Oh the irony of someone complaining because someone else is complaining.
Wallaceshroom -
1. You are not required by law to read the posts so if they upset you so much then perhaps you shouldn't.
2. People complaining about the job is the nature of things, let them get on with it.
3. People complaining doesn't mean they dislike the job, it may mean they dislike part of it and would like to improve it.
4. If people didn't complain about the job this board would be a very quiet place, so any and all complaining, even your type is welcome.
5. It's sad to hear "if you don't like the job leave" from managers, doubly so from colleagues.
Everyone, as long as its not personal in nature or offensive - moan away please, it keeps the traffic up.

And on the 8th June, it will be 3 months since completing the online tests. I'm back on the system but still no shortlisting yet. 'It varies from campaign to campaign' is the answer

Omg. Lucky you. Only 2 weeks?
I wish I could know whether I am going to get through to an interview or not. Almost 3 months and waiting is just toooooo long.
Good luck Night Owl. Let us know how you do
