Answers on a used Kleenex to the usual address...
When you collate them you do it in the same order.
Therefore you only have to look for the last one, (the biggest one) which you have put at the back.
It really isn't very difficult.
Yes, a stack of them is scarcely any more difficult or slower than a nest of them. :thumbup
Just like working from the back of the van is scarcely any more difficult or slower than having a pod of mail in the front. :thumbup

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Who exactly is a sad "cnut"?
What is sad about wanting the job to be done properly?
What is sad about wanting to give the customer what they have paid for?

What there is on this thread is a lot of pathetic excuses from people who simply don't want to do the job as they are paid to do it.
If you want to see a sad "Cnut" Chelseablue perhaps you should have a look in the mirror.

One of the ever growing list of things RM needs to get sorted back to basics, there is so much fudging by both managers and OPGs to give the illusion that the indoor and outdoor duty workloads are achievable. ;liar

Don't forget to filter while standing still out on delivery, making sure a letter for the next house has not accidentally got mixed into the preceding address' D2Ds, rather than simply splitting mail from the bundle by picking out the next big D2D leaflet at the back . This will take time, especially when you have 7+ D2D, it should have been accounted for when the planners created the duty. :left: :left: :left:

The best ones are the half-leaf pizza ones so loved on the council estates. It's easy to slide the other 2-10 leaflets inside the short flap at the front. Due to the short flap when they go through the box the sodding things all separate anyway. In fact, the flimsy pizza ones regularly get shredded by my elastic bands as due to their crap quality I use 2 or 3 bands laterally on the bundle to ensure I can actually go a loop without the thing collapsing. Unfortunately removing the mail from these bundles inevitably ensures Kieron's/Kyla's/Kyra's/Kylie's/Kyle's mum has to piece the shreds together in order to use the 2-for-1 offer for Sunday dinner.

In the case of flimsy A4-sized crap nesting actually gives them some rigidity and some will actually get through unscathed the 2 inches of bristles that the householder has in the letterbox because some greenie has told them it saves 2 microwatts of electricity a decade.

That s**t should be done by leafleters. Some weeks there can be as many as 7 lots of door-to-dustbins. There is bound to be an element of nesting.

And packets should be done by couriers.
And letters should be done by people who are dedicated letter deliverers.

Why oh why can't they just leave us alone to do what we do best?

I might also add massively oversized parcels to that list as well. Surely thats a job for Parcel force who are dedicated couriers and drive round in much larger vans than what we have.

Yes I have to admit the other day a woman welcomed the fact it was 'Domino's Day' when I saw her on the front lawn and handed the junk over. She said she orders one for the kids each fortnight when the leaflet comes, and they love it etc..etc..

My DIM also told me that he was in Domino's ordering one evening and engaged the manager in conversation and claims the guy told him they get a sizeable upsurge in business on RM door-2-dustbin weeks.

Pizza is the most common one, followed by utility companies then Farm f****** Foods then Iceland/other supermarkets then Hillbilly's Blinds. Well, here it is anyway.
